One of Kansas City's best assets

Kansas City Public Libraries. Seriously, the local library rocks the free world. They’re super-fast about their interlibrary loans, the three branches I frequent are all pleasant, comfy facilities, and now they offer NetLibrary.com access, which is super-convenient and doesn’t incur those pesty late fees. Plus, the new downtown library is just absolutely, ridiculously gorgeous. It’s pretty much a temple to books, and one of my favorite places to spend my lunch hour.
