Well, the time has finally come to let the Burley go. It’s a damn sweet bike, but it’s just not right for me. The fit isn’t quite on, and it just doesn’t really work with the way I ride. So, if you’re short and like an elegant and zippy steel road bike AND a good buy, you could do worse than laying an eye on this beauty on ebay.

It looks black in this picture, but I have another, from when I first bought it, which shows its Royal Blue color better:

It was the first bike I ever really “lusted” after, and sadly it was the first bike I ever fell out of love with. I have had some fun with it, but the fact of the matter is, I haven’t ridden it in over a year, and I have only owned it since July of 2005. Since it was only really ridden for one year, and only part of that year, considering that I never rode it in inclement weather, it’s time to go. With seven other bikes taking up space in my little house…well…the ones that I actually ride (and the two or three “curiosities”) are getting preference.

Plus, once this sells, I think I am going to spring for a digital camera upgrade.

Best luck to whoever ends up with this bike. It’s mad fun; it’s just not quite the right size/proportion for me.
