Each of us nabbed two or three bottles, because it was there, basically.

Now what the sam-hill am I supposed to do with it? I’m not much of a wine drinker (not much of a drinker, full stop) and I’d feel a little sketchy about serving 30+ year-old dumpster-dive wine to guests. I’ve half a mind to schlep it all right back to the dumpster it came from & let somebody else have a crack at it.

I just kind of get wrapped up in the moment of finding something nifty in the trash and all of the sudden, I’ve done toted home a blowtorch.

Don’t believe me? Well check this out:

I totally have a blowtorch and I got it out of a trash heap.

Anyway, back on track…this wine? What to do with it? Maybe I should do an incredibly dodgy blog giveaway. Giveaways are pretty popular over in the Mommyblogger scene. Those gals give away all sorts of stuff from diaper-rash creme to videogames. Maybe I should do a series of trivia quizzes or a drivetime-radio style “call-in” where the third commenter wins BIG

Whaddya think?

  1. I can’t really read the one on the right, but the other two are spatlese reislings and will be somewhat sweet. They could be reduced into a syrup for a fruit salad or used as poaching liquid for pears or apples. They look like half bottles (375 ml).

I’d do a dessert expiriment or give them to an adventurous friend.

I might have to try that – it appeals to my Kitchen Mad Scientist side.
