My "Stamp Collection"

I highly recommend clicking through to the main photo page for this image and reading the various notes that describe and clarify the various motifs pictured above.

As I’ve mentioned in other posts, I’ve been sorting out a bunch of old stuff of mine that has moved from one apartment to the next, to my old house, to here, and I have finally gotten around to truly digging in, figuring out what was what, throwing out a bunch of just plain garbage, giving away some good give-away-able stuff, and retaining a few treasures. Above you will see one of my childhood treasures that was stored in the old tap-shoe box that houses my much beloved paperdolls from the same period in my life.

In the 1987-88 school year, I got it into my head that I wanted to take up stamp collecting, but of course at age 10 I didn’t get enough mail to have any stamps of note, nor had I the means to procure any, so I did what any intrepid 5th grader might do…I made my own! Enjoy my rare 1988 Olympics commemorative stamp, my holiday specials, and my school-spirit offerings, as well as random punctuation, geometric effects and things which defy all speculation. I never was much good at art.
