Welcome distractions!

So, I’m pretty much on tenterhooks of late, because I’ve been awaiting a callback from a job I really, really, really want. I’m hoping for a second interview, but at this point, I’d possibly let out a sigh of relief if the callback was telling me that I’m out of the running. At least the tension of waiting would be over with.

To pass the time, I’ve been applying for more jobs, doing laundry, playing with the dog, sewing, and goofing around with the Internet.

Thanks to two of my awesome friends Julie and Stef and the marvelous service provided to us all by Twitter, I have read two pretty darn diverting things on this wonderous Internet.

Thanks to Stef, I’ve read six pages into an insanely inane discussion about whether a young mother can and should copyright or trademark the inadvisable “unique” name she has pinned on her as yet blameless child.

Thanks to Julie I just read about a guy who signed one of those glitchy electronic credit-card sign-pads with an obscene drawing and what came of it. This one really gave me the giggles, which pretty much confirms how very puerile my sense of humor really is.

I also revisited my old, backup bookmarks and re-discovered Samorost and Samorost 2.

And it’s coming close to 3:00 p.m. I’ve told myself that if they don’t call by 3:30, I’m going over to my old house to finish cleaning out the basement.

I need more patience and more chill-itude.

And a paying job.

So I am curious, what job did you apply for that has you so peaked?

That woman who was asking about trademarking the baby’s name?

Is a total, complete and utter loon! So immature and idiotic.

I wanted to read her blog for entertainment purposes, but it seems it’s suspended. Aw!

But I loved the credit card story. Ha!

I went and looked at her blog, too…it is a total disaster. If Trainwrecks.net were still around, I’d submit that one.

You have to look it up in Google and then read the Google cached copy. She has so many weird ads and stuff that I think it just plain won’t load in Firefox. That is one horkulated website.
