It is also where my computer and excessive collection of shitty romance novels live. For if-and-when I re-acquire the free time to re-start my shitty romance novel review blog.
Right now, I share the space with a crapton of bicycle wheels and tires, a 1974 Honda CB350 that needs its carburetors rebuilt, and all the rest of the normal basement stuff – washer, dryer, freezer, beer fridge, camping equipment, off-season clothing, bale of Costco toilet paper, canning and homebrewing crap, etc. A metric shitton of etc., honestly. Eventually, the 1959 VW will also be crowding in, and the motorcycle will (hopefully) go out to the shed that Joel built for motorcycles and gardening equipment.
I bet I’ll be the ONLY woman in the world whose sewing room doubles as her garage. It will be EPIC.
Attached garage?
Sort of – the garage is part of the basement. Or rather, back in the 1930s or so, an industrious previous owner excavated away part of the retaining wall up front, opened up part of the foundation, and installed a garage door.
IC. I saw the heating pipes that’s why I asked. I’ve got a detached garage in the back of my 1927 vintage abode. Nice to have since I can do smelly noisy things and no one in the house complains. Unfortunately, no heat, so, not really a good place to be during this Siberia-like winter (more snow predicted for tonight). I haven’t been on a bike in nearly two months. I’m gonna be sore when I do get back in the saddle. I did use the down time to build some new wheels for my mountain bike.
Ha, no. I have all my crap in the detached barn that acts as a garage.
However, since it’s freaking hot/cold (choose, Tennessee can’t decide what it wants to do), I barely get out there to cut anything.

I finally got a chance to catch up, and I’m glad to see things going so well with the baby. He’s looking mighty dapper these days.

My bat-cave continues to merit small improvements. I was down there churning out the mending last night. Joel installed more and better lighting for me a couple of weeks ago, which makes doing hand-work a lot easier (especially darning dark colors)
